3.4 Summarizing Sources

  1. Compare your citation and your partner’s. Are they same or different? Which parts are different? Why do you think that they are different?
  2. First with your partners identify the source type, and ask where they find citation rules.
  3. Rewrite the citation based on what you have discussed.

1. Based on your partner’s checklist, revise your example annotated bibliography.
*Name the file as “revised example AB_Your First Name”
*Upload the file on Dropbox>>>Unit3 Annotated Bibliography.
*Due date and time: Oct, 29 (Tue) 11:55 sharp.


2. Finalize your decision of 5 best suited sources, and upload PDF files of 5 sources.
*Name each file as “Your First Name_source#”
For example, my source 1 will be named as “Jamie_source1”
*Upload the files on Dropbox>>>Unit3 Annotated Bibliography>>>Sources.
*Due date and time: Oct, 30 (Wed) before the class starts, 3:00 pm sharp.


3. Reflective Essay
Through Unit1 and Unit2, we have discussed plagiarism in academic writings. Plagiarism is an important issue that college students should think of seriously.  Briefly define plagiarism in your words and write about what you think about plagiarism. Why do you think that the university considers plagiarism as a serious problem? How have been changed your thoughts about plagiarism after in class discussion? If you want to share your personal experiences, you can write about them as well.

*Your response should be more than 400 words with APA style: 12pt., Times New Roman, double-spaced, 1-inch margins on all four sides. 
*Name the file as “Reflective Essay2_Your First Name”
*Upload the file on Dropbox>>>Reflective Essay.
*Due date and time: Nov, 3 (Sun) 11:55 pm sharp.
