4.2 Source Synthesis

  • Be able to apply the rules in your IRP to avoid plagiarism.
  • Identify whether sources agree/disagree and plan how to use more than one source into one main idea.
  • Properly integrate multiple sources into paragraphs containing one main idea.

1. Brainstorm 5 or 6 main ideas for IRP and write them down on Source Synthesis Chat in the very left column.
Check whether each source you chose agrees or disagrees to main ideas on the very left column, and write one or two sentences how they agree or disagree to main ideas.
